TransCanada Helps Students Jump-Start Their Future
Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta (JASA) is pleased to announce that TransCanada has renewed their multi-year support of Junior Achievement’s Economics for Success program. TransCanada will generously donate $30,000 each year for 2014, 2015, 2016 in support of the program for youth across southern Alberta.
The Economics for Success program gives grade 9 students a new perspective on how informed choices can jump-start their future. This program encourages students to reflect on the advantages of remaining in school to acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed for long-term career success.
For over 15 years, TransCanada has supported JASA with funding exceeding more than a half a million dollars. In addition to funding this program, TransCanada provides strong volunteer support for Junior Achievement programs in the classroom with a contribution of nearly 7,000 volunteer hours and reaching 10,000 students. TransCanada employees will once again be in the classroom to deliver the Economics for Success program at our annual Mount Royal University event on April 27, 2015.
